Which certificate do I need for recognition?
Most Bundesländer ask for B2 in the nursing profession — often a Fachsprachprüfung, or Deutsch B1·B2 Pflege in its place. Requirements differ by Bundesland and change over time, so confirm with the Anerkennungsstelle that will handle your file.
Do I need an internet connection?
Chapters, vocabulary, dialogues and audio work offline once you have downloaded a level. Grading is the exception: your writing and speaking answers are sent to Google Gemini to be evaluated, so those need a connection — they are saved on your device and sent as soon as you are back online.
Is it only for qualified nurses?
No — it is written for care work of every kind: qualified nurses, care assistants and Pflegehilfskräfte, elder-care and Altenpflege staff, home carers, Betreuungskräfte, and nursing students planning an Ausbildung. The German of a handover, a care report and a worried relative is the same German whoever is speaking it.
Is Pflegeling an official exam provider?
No. Pflegeling is independent preparation material for the B1·B2 Pflege examination. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by any examination body, it does not issue certificates, and it is language training and general orientation — not legal, immigration or medical advice.
