Terms & Conditions — Pflegeling

By installing or using Pflegeling, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What we collect — and what we don't

Your email address is the only personal detail we store. We never ask for your name, your date of birth, your address, your phone number, or your employer. You are not required to give a name to use this app. If you sign in with Google or Apple and they pass us a name or profile picture along with your email, we clear both rather than keep them.

Alongside your email we keep:

• Your learning progress — which chapters and exercises you finished, your scores and your streak, stored on your device and synced under an anonymous user id.
• Your writing and speaking answers — sent to our evaluation service so they can be graded and returned to you with feedback. Recordings are processed for that grading and are not stored on our servers.
• App settings — your interface language, theme and reminder preference.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not build a profile of you beyond what the lessons need.

2. Educational purpose

Pflegeling helps nurses and caregivers prepare for working in German healthcare. Its content is supplementary learning material. It is not a substitute for accredited training, an official language course, or any certification a regulator requires of you. We are not affiliated with any examination body.

3. Automated evaluation

Your writing and speaking answers are assessed by an automated language model. Scores, corrections and CEFR estimates are practice guidance, produced by software that can be wrong. They are not an official result and they do not predict how a real examiner will grade you.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.

5. Using the content

Chapter texts, audio, dialogues, vocabulary and exercises are for your own personal, non-commercial study. Please do not redistribute them, resell them, publish them, or use them to train other systems without our written permission.

6. Fair use

Use the app lawfully. Do not attempt to bypass its security, disrupt the service, or abuse the evaluation system. Accounts that do may be suspended.

7. No guarantees

We make no promise about exam results, pass rates, recognition decisions, or professional outcomes, and no promise that translations are safe for clinical use. Always follow your employer's protocols and your regulator's requirements. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

9. Your rights

You do not have to ask us for anything. In Settings you can export your data as a .zip at any time, and delete your account yourself — which erases your email, your synced progress and everything cached on your device. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

10. Changes

We may revise these Terms. If a change is material, we will ask you to read and accept the new version in the app before you continue.
